A new device from Xiaomi has shown up on bench-marking site, GeekBench. The device which goes by the name Xiaomi Redmi Pro sports a MT6795T processor a.ka. Helio X25. This is the same processor found on the Meizu Pro 6.
The phone scores 1847 on the single-core test and 4761 on the multi-core test. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is said to be equipped with 4GB of RAM and a Mali-T880 GPU.
The exciting part of the news is the price. Xiaomi is said to sell this new phone for just 1000 Yuan ($150)!!! Well, that’s what the rumors are saying right now. If true, this is less than half of the price of the Meizu Pro 6 which sells for $350 (2339 Yuan). We don’t know what game Xiaomi is playing but this will dent a blow on the sales of Meizu.
Meizu’s Pro 6 still has some strong features of its own such as a Super AMOLED screen with 3D touch and a 21MP primary camera.
Xiaomi has not yet announced the camera specs of the screen, but we should expect either a 13MP or 16MP sensor and a regular FHD screen.
Hopefully, more details will emerge of this Helio X25 powered mid-ranger in the coming weeks.
