Samsung will announce the Galaxy Tab S6 later today but hours before the unveiling, a leak has surfaced which confirms a key detail about the tablet.

The Galaxy Tab S6 will not only be the first Samsung tablet with dual rear cameras but will also be the world’s first tablet with an in-display fingerprint scanner. An image of the tablet shared on Twitter by Evan Blass is the source of this info.

Galaxy Tab S6 In-display fingerprint scanner

There had actually been reports that the Galaxy Tab S6 will be the first tablet with a fingerprint scanner under its display just like a lot of phones have these days. However, none of the leaked press renders confirmed that the device actually has it.

The Galaxy Tab S6′ predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S4, doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner but an Iris Scanner, while the Galaxy Tab S5e has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The confirmation of an in-display fingerprint scanner should be good news for owners of the Galaxy Tab S3 who didn’t upgrade last year. The Tab S3 has a front-mounted fingerprint scanner that sits below the display under the physical home button. So switching to the Galaxy Tab S6 should be easy since the in-display fingerprint scanner is technically front-mounted.

The Galaxy Tab S6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. It will have a 10.5-inch AMOLED display, an 8MP front-facing camera, a 13MP + 5MP dual rear camera combo, and a 7040mAh battery with support for fast charging. The Galaxy Tab S6 will have a Bluetooth S Pen that attaches to the back of the device. There will also be connector pins at the bottom of the device for connecting it to a keyboard.
