Xiaomi is one of the leading brands when it comes to wearable devices, thanks to the company’s Mi Band fitness trackers. However, the company has not yet launched a smartwatch under its own brand, which should change now.

We recently reported that the company will soon launch a smartwatch named Mi Watch which will be running Google‘s WearOS. Now, the company has teased that the upcoming Mi Watch will be launched on 5th November in China.

Along with the Xiaomi Watches, the company is also set to launch a few other products at the 5th November launch event, including Mi CC9 Pro with 108MP primary camera and new Xiaomi Mi TV 5 series.

Earlier, it was reported that the upcoming smartwatch will be powered by the Xiaomi Wear chipset and will also also come with support for eSIM card, 4G LTE network connectivity, multi-function NFC, and smart voice assistant.

The device is expected to run a customized version of Google’s Android Wear operating system out-of-the-box which could be named “Mi Wear” OS. The design of the device has also been leaked online, which shows a circular dial, however, the teaser shows a rectangular dial, similar to the Apple Watch.

In early September, the Chinese company had registered a few trademarks, including “Millennium MIX ALPHA”, “Mi MIX Alpha” and “Mi Watch COLOR”. Xiaomi currently sells wearable devices under its eco-chain companies which includes Huami Technology.

Apart from the Mi Band fitness tracker, it has a line of smartwatches under Amazfit branding but none of them are running Android Wear OS. The upcoming smartwatch will be the first to come with company’s own branding.
