It is no longer news that Vivo is developing its own smartwatch. The watch was certified by the Chinese Communications Commission back in June and has also received its Bluetooth certification too. More details of the watch have now surfaced in a leak.

A post on Weibo by the Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, says the Vivo Watch will be available in two months, which means it should arrive next quarter. He stated he has seen the “male” version of the watch and it has a 46mm dial that houses a color OLED display.

The post also revealed the Vivo Watch has NFC, a heart rate monitor, a blood oxygen monitor, and other standard features we expect in a smartwatch.

Based on the above info, the Vivo Watch will be available in two sizes – a 46mm version and a version with a smaller dial, probably 42mm. The watch will support payments via NFC, so owners can use it for bus payments which is a pretty popular feature in China.

There is still no info with respect to battery life and the OS it will run. Vivo’s sister company, OPPO, launched its own smartwatch a couple of months ago and it runs ColorOS in China while the international variant runs WearOS. Vivo may follow a similar path for its own watch too.

Apart from details about the watch, the leaker revealed Vivo has also begun working on its own line of flat-screen TVs. It appears it will be joining OnePlus in the TV business soon. OPPO is also expected to announce its own smart TVs too as two models with 55-inch and 65-inch screens have been certified in China while their remotes have received Bluetooth certificates.
