After 7 phones made in collaboration with other manufacturers such as Samsung, LG, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2014/08/13/google-enlists-motorola-to-work-on-nexus-6-parameters-revealed/">Motorola</a>, and <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/09/08/android-7-0-nougat-factory-image-ota-nexus-6p/">Huawei</a>; Google is going back to their first partner to release not one, but two phones which will also have new names, the Pixel and Pixel XL.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">With a launch scheduled for October 4, the Pixel and Pixel XL will be the beginning of  a new era of smartphones made by Google.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Lately, we have been getting leaks, renders, and sightings of the new phones which is not unusual. Today we have new renders showing the front-facing panels of both devices. The renders have been provided by a parts dealer in Hong Kong who has also revealed their screen sizes. The Pixel&#8217;s panel is 4.99 inches while that of the XL comes in at 5.46 inches. This means the Motorola-made Nexus 6 is still the largest phone from Google with a massive 5.9&#8221; display.</p>

<figure id="attachment_97879" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-97879" style="width: 402px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-97879" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/PIxel-XL-frnt-panel-render.png?x10805" alt="Render of Pixel XL Front Panel" width="402" height="400" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/PIxel-XL-frnt-panel-render.png 402w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/PIxel-XL-frnt-panel-render-150x150.png 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/PIxel-XL-frnt-panel-render-300x300.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 402px) 100vw, 402px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-97879" class="wp-caption-text">Render of Pixel XL Front Panel</figcaption></figure>
<p style="text-align: justify">Keeping the Pixel XL at 5.5&#8221; also makes sense if the rumour about a new Nexus/Pixel 7 tablet made by Huawei is true. The info leaked by Evan Blass, mentions that the tablet will sport 4GB of RAM. While Google doesn&#8217;t activate call capabilities on their tablet, we can&#8217;t rule out the possibility of that happening now and if that happens, people (especially outside of Europe and North America) might be inclined to pick that over a Pixel XL that is larger than 5.5&#8221;.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Both phones will launch with the new version of android which is already available on eligible nexus devices. The new phones will also support Google&#8217;s VR platform tagged Daydream.</p>
