In December 2017, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor had debuted the View 10 in Europe. During the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018, the company has introduced the smartphone in the U.S.

The View 10 has a 5.8-inch IPS LCD display that offers 18:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution. It is powered by Kirin 970 that brings along a dedicated AI chip (neural processing unit) for handling AI tasks.

The AI chip allows the smartphone to continuously detect different scenes like nature, pet, text, portrait and so on. It scans at a very fast rate of 33 times per second. The View 10 can also perform real-time translation through the Microsoft Translator app. The Chinese firm has confirmed that it will be releasing a developer SDK that will let anyone to create an app that will work on the AI capabilities of the phone.

The SoC is supported by 6 GB of RAM. It includes a native storage of 128 GB and also carries support for microSD card. It is packed with a 3,750 mAh battery that is coupled with Huawei’s SuperCharge fast charging technology. The 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual camera setup sits on the back panel of the phone. For snapping selfies, it is equipped with a 13-megapixel front camera. It comes preloaded with EMUI 8.0 that is based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Honor has teamed up with Snapchat to add a virtual button inside the camera app for easily sharing selfie shots.

Honor did not confirm on the pricing of the View 10 for the U.S. markets. However, it is expected to get confirmed soon. In Europe, the View 10 is available with a pricing of 499 euros (~$600). The Chinese firm has also confirmed on the arrival of Honor 7X mid-range smartphone in limited red color option in the U.S. and multiple markets.
