Things were looking up for Huawei, but now they maybe be going straight back into the ground. Fresh off the US ban on Huawei, the US is now claiming that Europe may be coming around to the alleged threat presented by Huawei‘s equipment. While Europe nations won’t ban Huawei, they may be planning to bar Huawei’s equipment from their next-generation telecom networks.

This is crushing news for Huawei, and presents another blow to the progression of 5G technology. It also represents a win for the Trump administration whom have been warning others against using Huawei equipment in their 5G systems. No European countries that are supporting the bar have been officially named, so nothing’s really set in stone yet.

While Huawei may have a ton of backup plans regarding the US market, we wonder how they’ll deal with this bit of Europe news. It’s a shame that this is happening at all, though there’s not really all that much that can be done. As of right now, Huawei’s US ban has been delayed for 90 days to allow the company to recoup.

If Huawei finds a way to turn all this bad news around, it’ll be incredible to watch. So far they’ve been doing decently with covering the grounds of most of their products. Europe’s is a completely different type of problem, and we want to know how all this turns out. Truly, this has been one of the most intriguing car crashes in the tech world as of late.
