The world’s most used browser – Google Chrome mitigated the security of Google Chrome by introducing several solutions like password protection and real-time phishing protection in a recent update. According to our folks at XDA, Google Chrome is alls et to ease the process of taking screenshots in the browser. In short, Google Chrome is on the way to get its native screenshot editor feature.

The new feature was recently spotted in a new commit on Chromium Gerrit. It reveals a new flag named “Chrome Share Screenshots” that enables the UI to take and edit screenshots. There’s no additional information available yet about the upcoming Screenshot feature. However, a bug report reveals that it will use “the Ink image editor library”.

After rolling out the screenshot editor to the above products, Google Chrome in on the verge to get its screenshot editing tool. The feature is currently in the early stage of development, and if everything goes well, it will soon be a part of Google Chrome. The Chrome extensions like Awesome Screenshot might not be happy with the recent chromium developments.

In the recent past, Google is making extra efforts to make its products and services more reliable by introducing small but required features. The Android OS received an official screenshot editor last year with version Android 9.0 Pie. Later, it was rolled out on Google Photos and Google search app on both iOS and Android.
