Chinese tech giant and BBK subsidiary OPPO has revealed the launch date for the next-generation F-series smartphone known as OPPO F15. The device is expected to go official in China on January 16 according to an official teaser poster released today. The poster also contains some key specifications of the phoneoppo f15

The F15 is expected to be the successor of the Oppo F11 smartphone in India and has featured in a couple of promo videos. It bears a design that looks like that of the OPPO A91 launched in China recently. This has fuelled speculations that the device will be a renamed A91. The teaser poster project a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48MP AI main camera. Other sensors include a 119-degree ultrawide lens of 8MP, a 2MP macro lens and another 2MP sensor.

The poster also shows the F15 will present with up to 8GB RAM, VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 for its 4,025mAH battery and in-display fingerprint 3.0. These basically feature onboard the OPPO A91 which also presents with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The A91 comes with a 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek Helio P70 chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. At the front, it features a 16MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.
