The OPPO Find X2 is one of the most anticipated Chinese smartphones this year. The phone will launch as a successor to the 2018 Find X that took the world by storm. Ahead of the phone’s release, specs have begun to surface. Today, a Chinese leaker has revealed details about the phone’s screen.

Last month, when it was confirmed that the Find X2 will launch this year, OPPO’s VP, Brian Shen revealed that the phone will have a better display than its predecessor. That should not be surprising since more manufacturers are focusing on displays these days.

According to Digital Chat Station, the screen of the Find X2 will have a QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The resolution is actually 3168 x 1440 and the display is a curved OLED panel made by Samsung. He adds that the screen measures about 6.5-inches in size and has a single hole at the top left corner for a selfie camera.

OPPO will allow users to switch between FHD+ and QHD+ and users will be able to choose between a 60Hz refresh rate or a 120Hz refresh rate irrespective of the resolution the display is set at. Samsung fans will definitely be unhappy since the Galaxy S20 series will only be able to switch to 120Hz when the resolution is set to FHD+.

While a combination of a QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate will definitely affect battery life negatively, providing the option for users to choose which combination they want to use is the smart thing to do rather than making it unavailable right out of the box.

The OPPO Find X2 will have a Snapdragon 865 processor and a Snapdragon X55 modem for 5G network support. It is expected to launch this quarter, so we expect more leaks will surface soon.
