Historically, smartphone brands have been collaborating with various automobile manufacturers for making a special variant of their flagship offerings. Now, Huawei has is also collaborating with a Chinese luxury car brand named Hongqi for a special variant of the upcoming flagship, the P40.
The news apparently broke after the car brands “accidentally” revealed information about the partnership with Huawei. According to an image poster shared, the top 200 subscribers will win in a giveaway that hands out the Special P40 variant. This confirms the existence of the limited P40 edition, although it is unknown if its redesign is like the Porsche versions or if it is just a simple cobranded.

From what we know so far, Huawei P40 series is expected to be released later this month, on 26th March 2020. Its the latest iteration in the series and is the next installment succeeding the P30 series from last year. The P40 series is one of the flagships that the Chinese tech giant launches and will sport top notch specs as well.
Unfortunately, finer details regarding the smartphone are currently unknown, especially regarding the limited Hongqi limited edition. But we can expect certain defining aesthetics being added on to the base device, considering it is a giveaway for top subscribers. So a unique design might be planned.
