Realme will be launching the Realme V5 smartphone on Aug. 3 in China. By announcing the OPPO A72 5G, OPPO became the first brand to launch a Dimensity 720 5G SoC powered handset. The Realme V5 could be the second phone to arrive with Dimensity 720 5G SoC. Ahead of the launch, the Realme V5 is listed on Tmall and JD.com Chinese retailer sites for reservations. The listing on Tmall has revealed the color options and variants of the Realme V5.
The Tmall listing states that the Realme V5 will be available in three colors such as Silver Winged Boy, Breaking Light, and Blue. Without mentioning the price tags, the listing has further revealed that the Realme V5 will be available in versions such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The listing also confirms that the Realme RMX2111 model number belongs to the Realme V5.
Realme V5 specifications
The Realme V5 has a Full HD+ 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole design. It has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera setup on its back. The Dimensity 720 powered handset has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. The phone is loaded with Android 10 OS.
In related news, a Chinese tipster has claimed that there a high-end version of the Realme V5 that has a 4,500mAh battery and 65W fast charging. He did not confirm the name of the device. It seems to the Realme RMX2121 phone that was spotted at the databases of TENAA and 3C in the recent past. The rumored phone could end up as Realme V5 Pro.
