Chinese phone maker Coolpad today held a strategic partnership conference alongside China Telecom and UNISOC group where it officially unveiled one of the cheapest 5G phones in China. The Coolpad X10 5G brings 5G connectivity to the budget segment with a starting price tag of 1,388 yan (~$199).Coolpad X10 5G

The affordable 5G phone is powered by a UNISOC T7510 chipset which supports SA/NSA dual-band 5G network mode. The chipset also supports all the mainstream 5G frequency bands in China as well as full Netcom 4G. It adopts HD voice EVS over 5G NR technology, 2T4R transmission technology, Wi-Fi MIMO dual-antenna technology. The phone also supports physical fingerprint and face recognition unlock methods. The Coolpad X10 5G is equipped with a 6.5-inch high-definition LCD waterdrop screen with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.07%. The waterdrop notch houses a 13MP selfie camera. At the rear aspect, there is 21MP main camera with an f1.8 aperture in a triple camera arrangement.  The other imaging sensors include a 5MP depth sensor and a 2MPAI lens.  The camera setup also includes a high-sensitivity color temperature flash. The phone is also equipped with an enhanced camera optimization technology which includes super night scene mode.Coolpad X10 5G

The X10 5G is available in two memory configurations and these include a 4GB RAM + 128GB storage combo and the top-end 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option. The 5G mobile phone will get power from a 4600mAh battery and is said to utilise a PC-level liquid cooling technology.Coolpad X10 5G

In addition, the machine adopts a 3D curved body made of glass and will be available in three colour options: Black, White, and Blue.Coolpad X10 5G

In terms of the prices and availability, the Coolpad X10 5G 4GB+128GB version is priced at 1,388 yuan(~$199) and the 6GB+128GB version is priced at 1,588 yuan (~$228). The phone will officially be on pre-sale from August 20.
