As you can see, Huawei is updating some of its flagships from as far back as 2016 such as the Mate9 series. With a new update, these old devices are being infused with new life.
HarmonyOS 2 has a ton of features such as Super Service Widgets which brings added functionalities to the standard widgets. Users will be able to perform certain tasks using just the widget of an app instead of opening the app itself. There is also a Control Center that makes it easier to access and control all connected devices or supported devices in range. Huawei has also included a Task Center that allows you to assign tasks to various devices such as from a tablet to a phone and vice versa.
Other features are a new font with an adjustable thickness, cross-device clipboard function, and multi-camera mix which lets you combine footage from the cameras of nearby devices when recording a video to provide you with different angles.
Huawei says HarmonyOS 2 is secure and has been awarded the EAL 4+ certification for security.
