The tablet will come with support for 5G connectivity and is said to be powered by a 4,260mAh dual-cell battery, which makes it an 8,720mAh battery effectively. There were also reported about the lower-end model to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC which also supports 5G connectivity. The devices are expected to have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 has officially been listed on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), indicating an imminent launch. Recently, it was reported that the Mi Pad 5 could possibly launch sometime between mid to late August, i.e. next month.
