MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is currently the newest version of Xiaomi’s mobile operating system. The company has been rolling it out to eligible devices worldwide since August. The latest handsets to receive it are Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9.

Xiaomi has started seeding MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update for Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9. The new version of MIUI is only available for the ‘Global’ variants of these phones at the moment.
The fresh system update arrives with the following build numbers.
- Redmi 9 (Global) – V12.5.3.0.RJCMIXM
- Redmi Note 9 (Global) – V12.5.2.0.RJOMIXM
Apart from bringing certain changes, the latest software update for these two smartphones also bumps up the security patch level to October 2021. Also, the software builds are in the ‘Stable Beta’ phase, which means they are being rolled out in batches.
We expect the update to reach the remaining regional variants of these two phones in the coming days. For those unaware, the Redmi 9 discussed here is known as Redmi 9 Prime in India. At the same time, the Redmi Note 9 mentioned here is called Redmi 10X 4G in China.
Hence, those devices will be also receiving the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update very soon.
