Samsung is rolling out a major new software update for its Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic smartwatches. With this new update, the wearables from the company receives improved body composition insights among other features.

The latest update brings better breakdown of body composition while also offering advanced interval training programs for runners and cyclists. Furthermore, the South Korean tech giant is also bringing new watch faces as well as a new line of watch straps that will be available from the company’s official website and other partner retailers. Talking about the new software updates, the body composition improvements helps user plan targets and receive insights in the form of daily tips and reminders.

These will help users keep their fitness routines on track by offering specific details regarding their bodies like weight, body fat percentage, and skeletal muscle mass. All of this information will be visible on the Samsung Health app on the paired smartphone. Arriving at the new advanced interval training, this will let runners and cyclists set and track custom intensity training sessions. The feature is supplemented by the addition of VO2 Max reading along with new sweat loss indicator as well.

In other words, the update lets you track how much water you should consume to recover the water lost when you sweat. Other features include the addition of the recovery heart rate measurements that generate data up to two minutes after the workout ends. To help with rest cycles, Samsung is also introducing a new sleep coaching program that gives users personalized tips to get better rest. This new update will be available for both Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic starting from 10th February 2022.
