The BAW Yuanbao draws inspiration from Chinese culture. The Yuanbao was a form of gold and silver ingot currency used during the imperial era in China. It symbolizes wealth and BAW is wishing the users of the Yuanbao good fortune. BAW has not provided details on the release date for the Yuanbao yet. A four-door version of the Yuanbao is reportedly also being developed. The BAW Yuanbao is powered by a 200kW rear-wheel-drive motor that delivers a top speed of 100km/h. Two battery pack options are available for the Yuanbao – 9.6kWh, and 13.6kWh.

The Yuanbao has a surround camera system that offers 360 degrees views at any time. There are radars in the front and rear of the car, an electronic braking system, and an assist starting function for difficult angular terrains. There are disc brakes at the front while drum brakes are used at the rear.
