Realme recently commenced the Android 13-based Realme UI 3.0 open beta program for the Realme 9 Pro, and now, the Realme 9 Pro+ is also getting open beta access to the latest operating system. The device debuted back in February 2022 and is on its way to receiving its first major Android update.

Users interested in trying out the Realme UI 3.0 open beta build need to make sure that their Realme 9 Pro+ is running the firmware version RMX3392_11.A.12, RMX3392_11.A.13, or RMX3392_11.A.14. Once you have made sure that you are on the required version, you can navigate to Settings > Software Update menu and tap on the Settings icon in the top-right corner. After that, click on Trial version > Open Beta > Apply Now and submit the required details. You will receive the beta update if your application is approved.

It’s important to note that beta builds may contain flaws that degrade the user experience, thus they should be avoided on a primary device. The company has noted some of the common issues with the Realme UI 3.0 beta build on the Realme 9 Pro+.

Common Issues

  • After the upgrade, it may take longer to boot for the first time, especially if there are many third-party applications on your phone.
  • After the upgrade, in order to improve the system operation efficiency and eliminate potential safety risks, the system will perform a series of actions such as application adaptation, background optimization, and security scanning which may cause slight hanging and faster power consumption.
