OnePlus is working on its next Nord-branded smartphone. It is expected to be called the Nord CE 3. Now publication 91Mobiles in collaboration with reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer has shared exclusive renders of the smartphone. Earlier this month, Onleaks had also leaked key specifications of the upcoming offering. The renders are based on the prototype unit and give us a good look at the device.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 immediately stands out as having considerable design improvements over the Nord CE 2. For the front camera, the former has a punch-hole cutout that is centred. With the exception of the slightly broader bottom chin, the display is surrounded by tiny bezels. The smartphone has a boxy form factor, with the power button on the right side and the volume rocker buttons and SIM tray slot on the left edge. The power key might serve as a fingerprint reader as well. The upcoming smartphone is also seen with flat sides instead of curved ones as seen on the OnePlus X and some current iPhone models.

Two standard camera rings without any modules are present on the back panel. One sensor is housed in the top ring, while two lenses are housed in the bottom. Next to it, there is an LED flash. The bottom edge features a speaker grille, USB-C port, and a headphone jack, while the top edge has a microphone and a microphone.

As per the leaked specifications, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 is tipped to come with a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The triple camera setup is said to comprise a 108MP primary sensor paired with two 2MP lenses. The device is rumoured to be powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It will reportedly be backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 67W charging.

The OnePlus Nord CE 3 is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2023 as the successor to the Nord CE 2
