Audio-Technica has unveiled what it claims are the world’s first streaming headsets. The Audio-Technica ATH-M50xSTS and ATH-M50xSTS-USB are specifically designed for steaming content creators. Both models cater to the needs of live streaming and are based on the ATH-M50x professional monitor headphones. Both models will be available in the US market first.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50xSTS StreamSet™

The Audio-Technica StreamSet headsets have incorporated technology from the 20 series microphones to deliver full-spectrum audio quality output. The ATH-M50xSTS streaming headset has 45mm large-aperture drivers and delivers remarkable clarity within a wide frequency range. The output also incorporates deep bass response and both models use a cardioid condenser capsule. The capsule is located on the flexible arm and allows for better positioning even with head movement.

There are two sets of distinct earpads in the StremSet headsets. The M50x earpads deliver a quality audio output with sound isolation, as well as mesh and leatherette earpads high on comfort and breathability. The in-built microphone on the headsets can be muted quickly by flipping the boom arm into the up position. The ATH-M50xSTS has a 2m permanently attached cable with a 3.5mm headphone input and XLR microphone output.

The ATH-M50xSTS-USB has a 2m permanently attached cable with USB-A and USB-C connections. This makes it easy for the ATH-M50xSTS-USB to connect to PCs and macs. It has an A/D converter with up to 24-bit/ 96kHz sampling rate and sidetone circuitry. Volume is controlled by a dial on the earcup of the headphones.
