Samsung recently unveiled its latest generation of foldable smartphones, which included the new Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. However, it appears that work on a successor to the Flip model has already begun and there are some major upgrades.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Camera Improvements

The South Korean tech giant launched the Galaxy Z Flip 5 with the same camera as its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 4, which is a 12-megapixel primary sensor. But it seems like the next-gen Flip model will feature some notable improvements, especially in the photography department. According to a new report from the GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will feature a major upgrade in camera technology.

Apparently, Samsung is currently testing the prototypes of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 with a 50-megapixel primary camera. If this news is true, the company’s next-gen foldable phone will bring a notable upgrade over the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Unfortunately, the report does not reveal any finer details regarding this camera sensor or its lenses. But based on what we know so far, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 will carry the codename B6, while the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have the codename Q6.

The two 2024 foldable smartphones are still a year away from being announced so it is still too early to know for sure. Keep in mind that this is also just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt and stick around for more updates regarding this matter.
