Brands have played a pivotal role in this growth. Xiaomi, the tech giant, took the lead in the surveillance camera online market, boasting a 16.8% share. This positioned the brand on the top, dominating its competitors.

Qiao An wasn’t far behind, securing second place with an 11.1% online market share. However, it’s worth noting that there was a significant difference between Qiao An and Xiaomi’s market presence. The subsequent positions saw Yoosee in third, TP-Link at fourth, and Hikvision rounding off the top five.

A noteworthy observation is the growing trend in outdoor surveillance cameras. Based on the same report, outdoor camera sales constituted 31% of the total market in July 2023, reflecting a 3% year-on-year growth.

These cameras are not only catering to home security needs but are increasingly becoming essential for the small-scale commercial sector. Chain stores, convenience stores, and small supermarkets are some of the beneficiaries, utilizing these cameras to enhance security management.
