Alongside the launch of the Redmi 13 5G smartphone in India today, the Xiaomi sub-brand also announced a TWS earphone and a home appliance. The former is the Redmi Buds 5A. It is the latest addition to the Redmi Buds 5 series that includes the Buds 5 and Buds 5A that debuted earlier this year. There are a few differences between the newly announced model and its siblings. It sits between the Buds 5 and 5A. Read on to know more below.

Redmi Buds 5C specifications and features 

The Redmi Buds 5C has the same in-ear design with a stem and silicon ear tips as the other two Buds 5 models. It is IP54-certified dust and splash-resistant. The device comes in a pebble-shaped storage case that has a 480mAh cell claimed to offer 36 hours of battery. The earbuds are said to offer 7.5 hours of usage. 

On the audio front, the Redmi Buds 5C are equipped with 12.4mm titanium drivers for exceptional audio clarity. There are five sound profiles depending on your preference. The TWS earphones feature a 40dB hybrid active noise cancellation for blocking out any unwanted noise. There is also a transparency mode that lets you be aware of your surroundings. The audio device packs quad-mics AI noise cancellation with two microphones on each bud that is capable of eliminating wind noise and ensuring that your voice is heard clearly. 

The Redmi Buds 5C comes with Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. It supports Google Fast Pair and can connect to two devices simultaneously. There is a 60ms low latency mode. 

The Redmi Buds 5C carries a price tag of Rs 1,999. It is offered in Symphony Blue, Bass White, and Acoustic Black color options. The TWS earphones can be purchased starting July 20 from Amazon, Flipkart, and the brand’s official website.
