The Honor Magic V6 has just made its global debut at MWC 2026, and it isn’t just another incremental update. While the foldable market has often been criticized for fragility, Honor has pivoted its engineering to focus on “indestructibility” without sacrificing its signature slim profile.
Here is why the Honor Magic V6 is being hailed as the most durable foldable phone ever made

2The 2800MPa “Super Steel” Hinge
The heart of any foldable is its hinge, and Honor has gone to extremes here. The new Super Steel Hinge is rated at 2,800 MPa of tensile strength. To put that in perspective, Honor claims this is 87% stronger than the A-pillar of a Tesla.
The hinge is laboratory-tested for 500,000 folding cycles, which equates to roughly 136 folds every single day for ten years. Despite this massive increase in strength, the hinge mechanism is part of a chassis that remains incredibly thin—just 4.0mm when unfolded and 8.75mm when closed.
