TCL has officially launched the Q9M Pro SQD-Mini LED TV at its spring event in China. TCL is offering the Q9M Pro in five sizes: 55, 65, 75, 85, and 98 inches. The lineup starts at 6,199 yuan ($900) for the 55-inch model and goes up to 19,999 yuan ($2,904) for the 98-inch version.

The Q9M Pro uses the new SQD-Mini LED technology. This system improves on traditional Mini LED displays with a refined backlight architecture. The TV includes up to 3,552 local dimming zones, which provide better light control and enhanced contrast. The display achieves 100% BT.2020 color gamut coverage, delivering accurate and vivid colors. The panel supports a peak brightness of 5,000 nits and includes XDR technology for better HDR performance.
TCL has equipped the Q9M Pro with its Butterfly Wing Starlight display. This screen improves native contrast with HVA 2.0 panel technology and reduces glare with dual-layer low-reflection coatings. The TV offers a 178-degree wide viewing angle that ensures consistent picture quality from different positions. TCL has claimed significant improvements in color purity and reduced light interference for more lifelike visuals.
The TV features a 4K resolution with a 150Hz refresh rate. It supports high frame rate modes up to 300Hz and includes TCL’s TSR AI picture engine. This system enhances lower-resolution content to near-4K quality while improving sharpness, noise reduction, and color accuracy. The TV also uses 26-bit dynamic backlight control for smoother brightness transitions and better shadow detail.
TCL has included a 2.1.2-channel Onkyo Hi-Fi audio system with upward-firing drivers and a built-in subwoofer. This system delivers immersive surround sound with improved clarity and dynamic range.
The Q9M Pro comes with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, LAN, AV input, RF antenna input, and optical audio output. The TV supports Wi-Fi 6 for faster wireless connectivity.
The Q9M Pro runs Lingkong UI 3.0. This system offers no-boot ads, smart recommendations, and multi-user profiles. The TV features a slim 60mm profile and an ultra-thin wall mount solution for a clean installation. TCL has included cable management to keep setups tidy.
In related news, TCL has also introduced the T7M Ultra SQD-Mini LED TV, featuring a 4K 150Hz panel, up to 3000 nits XDR brightness, and Dolby Atmos support.
