Plugging the smartphone into a wall adapter when the battery dips into the red is never a convenient option. That is one reason why wireless chargers have evolved into a big category of their own — and one brand that made wireless charging mainstream is Apple.
Apple introduced wireless charging on iPhones with the iPhone X, but its true aha moment didn’t arrive until MagSafe launched in 2020. MagSafe, Apple’s magnetic wireless charging system, made everyday life considerably simpler for iPhone users, as chargers no longer meant an adapter-and-cable combo. A MagSafe charger can be anything from a magnetic battery pack, a wireless pad, or a bedside stand. Now in 2026, the iPhone 17 lineup pushes MagSafe charging up to 25W — as fast as a wired solution on iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus — thanks to the updated Qi2.2 standard.
Not every wireless charger can hit that ceiling, though. Qi2 is limited to 15W, while older Qi chargers deliver even less. As a result, choosing the right wireless charger is more consequential than it has ever been for iPhone users. Apple MagSafe Charger (25W)
Simplest of all, the Apple MagSafe Charger (25W) is a wireless puck attached to a braided cable with a USB-C connector on the other end. It snaps perfectly onto any modern iPhone, supports Qi2 25W and Qi charging, and can top up an iPhone 16 or iPhone 17 up to 50% in around 30 minutes. The charger is compatible back to the iPhone 12, but speeds are limited to 15W on older models.
According to Apple, the 25W MagSafe Charger features a redesigned, stronger magnetic ring that ensures a secure snap into the perfect charging position. And unlike some of the third-party options we have listed here, the official charger also features a full aluminium body for superior heat dissipation, and triggers iOS StandBy mode as soon as you pair it with your iPhone, given the feature is enabled in settings.
Anker Prime 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station
The Anker Prime 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station is for individuals who are constantly on the road. It is compact in size, measuring just 3.74 inches tall, 2.38 inches wide, and weighing just as much as the iPhone 17 Pro Max. For such a compact size, it brings a dedicated seat for earbuds, a watch, and an iPhone, of course.
The top where the iPhone rests is a foldable module that can lock at angles anywhere from 0 to 60 degrees. This means you can use the charging station even as a stand while watching a movie. The Belkin UltraCharge Pro 10K is a battery pack that doubles as a wireless charger, suitable for people who are always on the go. It packs a 10,000mAh battery with support for Qi2.2 25W wireless charging, and 30W wired USB-C output simultaneously. That means the iPhone can charge wirelessly at full MagSafe speed while a second device refills over cable.
What sets this power bank apart from similar options is the secondary magnetic ring on the back, which allows accessories like a PopSocket or magnetic wallet to remain attached while the phone charges.
It also has a built-in digital display that shows remaining battery percentage at a glance, and the soft-touch silicone exterior keeps it comfortable to hold during use. Belkin rates the UltraCharge Pro 10K at up to 34 hours of additional battery life, and the design is TSA carry-on compliant for air travel.
2. ESR OmniLock Magnetic Car Charger (25W, CryoBoost)
The ESR OmniLock is built for one specific problem: keeping an iPhone charged and mounted in the car without the usual heat throttling that slows wireless charging speeds down. It is Qi2.2 certified, delivers up to 25W of wireless charging, and features ESR’s CryoBoost active cooling system to manage temperature during fast charging sessions.
The mount uses N52 magnets for a secure hold, features a 360° rotating arm, and offers 60° of up-and-down and side-to-side adjustability via a ball joint.
In the box, ESR offers a 58W car adapter with both a USB-C port for the charger and a USB-A port for charging a second device simultaneously. Compatibility covers the iPhone 12 through iPhone 17 lineup, excluding SE and mini models, and vent blade support runs from 10 to 32mm wide.
