Just when it seemed that Vivo was done with the Vivo X300 series as it gears up for the Vivo X500 series launch in September, recent reports have revealed the existence of a new X-series model called the Vivo X300e. The handset is expected to debut soon in China, and it is also likely to launch in global markets. In all likelihood, the X300e could make its global debut alongside the Vivo X Fold 6.
Interestingly, the Vivo X300e is tipped to feature the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset that powers the recently announced Vivo X300 FE. With both phones expected to target the premium flagship segment, buyers may wonder whether it is worth waiting for the X300e or picking up the X300 FE. Here’s how the two compare based on everything known so far.

6Vivo X300e vs Vivo X300 FE: Which one should you choose?
If you are looking for a flagship smartphone that is available right now, the Vivo X300 FE appears to be the better choice. Besides offering wireless charging and a longer confirmed software update commitment, it also has the edge in the camera department. The phone features a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, whereas the Vivo X300e is tipped to offer 2x optical zoom, suggesting a less capable telephoto experience.
The rumored camera setup also indicates that the Vivo X300e could be positioned below the X300 FE in Vivo’s lineup, despite both devices being expected to feature the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.
That said, the X300e is still shaping up to be an attractive option with its larger display and significantly bigger 7,200mAh battery. However, several details, including its wireless charging support, display refresh rate, and final camera capabilities, are yet to be officially confirmed. Until then, the X300 FE remains the more complete package on paper, while the X300e could appeal to buyers who prioritize battery life over camera versatility.
Users who prioritize a larger display and longer battery life and are looking for a more affordable alternative to the X300 FE may prefer to wait for the Vivo X300e.
