After using the Edge 70 Max as my daily driver, here’s what it gets right and where it falls short.

The Motorola Edge 70 Max successfully establishes itself as Motorola’s most powerful Edge-series smartphone yet. Rather than competing directly with the company’s own Signature model, it focuses on delivering flagship-grade performance, a gorgeous Quad HD+ display, dependable battery life, premium build quality, and a clean software experience.
That said, there are compromises. The lack of a protective case in the box feels disappointing at this price, the software support could be more competitive, the 8GB variant currently misses out on Motorola Qira AI features, and users seeking the best cameras should look at the Motorola Signature instead.
If your priorities revolve around performance, multimedia consumption, battery life, and a clean Android experience, the Edge 70 Max is an excellent choice. However, if cameras and long-term software support matter more, spending the extra money on the Motorola Signature or considering alternatives such as the OnePlus 15R may prove worthwhile.
