After spending time with them, it is clear that Oppo has focused more on getting the fundamentals right than chasing flashy extras.
The earbuds feature up to 52dB adaptive ANC, a 12mm dynamic driver, Bluetooth 6.1, triple-microphone call noise cancellation, dual-device connectivity, and up to 54 hours of total battery life.
3ANC is the biggest highlight
Noise cancellation is arguably the strongest reason to consider the Oppo Enco Air 5. The earbuds offer up to 52dB of adaptive noise reduction with a cancellation frequency range of up to 5000Hz. There are High, Moderate, and Low modes, along with Smart Mode for automatic adjustment based on the surroundings.
In real-world use, the ANC does a good job with continuous background noise such as air conditioners, fans, traffic, and general office noise. The in-ear design helps here because the silicone tips provide passive isolation in addition to active cancellation.
The earbuds also have a Transparency mode, which is useful when you need to hear your surroundings without removing them.
