MIUI 10 was launched in China on May 31 when Xiaomi had announced the Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 8 SE smartphones. Today, at the unveil event of the Redmi Y2 in India, the company confirmed the rollout of global beta version of MIUI 10.
The MIUI 10 has been optimized to deliver faster performance and it brings along nature-friendly notification sounds. It includes support for gesture-based navigations for full screen smartphones that come with new aspect ratios.
It includes a redesigned Recents app and the deep learning algorithms allow even older phones with single rear camera such as Redmi Note 3 to shoot amazing bokeh shots. For India, MIUI 10 brings customized content through Mi Music, Mi Video and a revamped Mi browser.

Since Xiaomi is yet to launch the Mi 8 series in India, the company did not include these phones in the aforementioned list of eligible devices at the unveil event of Redmi Y2. However, it is very likely that the Mi 8 series will be also treated with MIUI 10 beta later this month. As far as the stable build is concerned, it was only confirmed that it will be made available in the near future.
