The Samsung Galaxy M10 was made available to the public on February 5th this year. UMIDIGI also took the wraps off its long-awaited S3 Pro phablet earlier this month.
We’ll be comparing the two smartphones based on various aspects including outward aspect, design, hardware, and efficiency. So without further ado, let’s delve into the details.
The Galaxy M10 is housed in a polycarbonate body that houses an extra large 6.22-inches IPS TFT, HD+ display with 1520 x 720 pixels resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio and pixel density of 270 PPI.
The Galaxy M10 has dimensions of 155.6 mm x 75.6 mm x 7.7 mm and weighs in only 163g even with the battery. The phone comes in black and blue color versions.
On the back of the phone, there’s a 13.0MP f/1.9 and 5.0MP f/2.2 cameras with LED Flash and AF. Up front, there’s a 5.0MP front shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 for selfies and video chatting.
The UMiDIGI S3 Pro features a metal body design. It sports a 6.3-inches IPS, FHD+ scratch resistant display having a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a pixel density of 409PPI and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
This 2.5D curved glass screen offers an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 83 percent. There’s no secondary display available on the S3 Pro.
On the back of the phablet, you can find a 48MP F1.7+12 MP (telephoto) dual camera setup with dual-LED flash and AF.
For the selfie addicts, the S3 Pro houses a 20.0MP front-mounted camera with face recognition.
The sturdy phablet has a dimension of 74.7 mm x 157.0 mm x 8.5 mm and weighs in at 217g with the battery. The S3 Pro comes in the black color version.
The Galaxy M10 is powered by an Exynos 7870 Octa, 64-bit processor and packs a highly competent Exynos 7870 Octa, 64-bit GPU, under the hood.
The phone ships with 2GB/3GB of RAM. You can choose between two storage options including 16GB and 32GB. Note that the phone supports expandable memory up to 512GB.
In terms of sensors, the Galaxy M10 features a proximity sensor, light, and an accelerometer. Aside from that, there are three card slots including microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC available on the phone.
The Galaxy M10 is backed by a 3,400mAh Lithium-ion battery. This built-in cell provides up to 330 hours of standby time and about 18 hours of talk time.
The Samsung-branded phone runs Experience 9.5 OS based on Experience 9.5.
The UMIDIGI S3 Pro packs a MediaTek Helio P70, 64-bit processor along with an ARM Mali-G72 MP3, 3 Cores, 900 MHz graphics processing unit.
The device ships with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and offers a hearty 128GB of internal storage capacity (expandable up to 256GB).
The phablet features microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC card slots and a slew of useful sensors like the proximity, light, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope and a fingerprint scanner.
The S3 Pro draws its juices from a robust 5150 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery that supports fast charging.
Moreover, this non-removable cell delivers an impressive standby time of about 400 hours and a talk time of up to 18 hours. The phablet runs Android 9.0 Pie OS.
