On the 31st of October, three Chinese telecom operators announced the commercial availability of 5G services in the country. The following day i.e 1st of November, netizens who pre-booked a unit of one of the Huawei Mate 30 series 5G smartphones can make the final payment and start the delivery process. Surprisingly, users without a pre-order can also purchase a unit starting today.
To lure in customers, Huawei is giving away free Huawei Band 4e to the first 10,000 buyers. The prices of different variants are of the two flagships are as follows:
- Mate 30 5G (8 GB + 128 GB): Yuan 4,999 ($ 710)
- Mate 30 5G (8 GB + 256 GB): Yuan 5,499 ($ 780)
- Mate 30 Pro 5G (8 GB + 256 GB): Yuan 6,899 ($ 980)
- Mate 30 5G (8 GB + 512 GB): Yuan 7,899 ($ 1,120)
Huawei has also partnered with a number of Chinese banks through which consumers can buy either one of the Mate 30 series smartphones with 6 easy monthly instalments without additional fees. The list of these banks includes Agricultural Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Ping An, Guangfa Card, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Shanghai Bank bank.
