Along with the Mi TV 5 Pro series, Xiaomi also launched the Mi TV 5 series, which as the name suggests, is a lighter version of the Mi TV 5 Pro. Similar to the Pro variant, the Mi TV 5 comes in three models — 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch.

The major difference between the standard model and the Pro model is that unlike the Pro variant, the Mi TV 5 doesn’t come with Quantum Dot display. Also, the internals differ compared to the Pro version. It too runs the company’s own PatchWall interface which Xiaomi has designed for Smart TVs.

It comes with just 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. For comparision, the Pro version comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage. Similar to the Pro model, this one too comes with Dolby Atmos and DTS support and has 2 x 8w Stereo speakers.

In terms of design, both the Pro variant and the standard variants are same, featuring just 5.9mm thickness, which is less than the thickness of iPhone 11 measuring 8.1mm. The bezel surrounding the display is 47.1 percent narrower compared to the Mi TV 4, measuring just 1.8mm. The device is made up of aluminium and comes with a screw-less design.

Coming to the pricing, the Mi TV 5’s 55-inch model costs 2,999 Yuan (~$428) while the 65-inch and 75-inch models are priced at 3,999 Yuan (~$571) and 7,999 Yuan (~$1,142) respectively. It will go on sale from 11th November in China.
