Vivo’s forked version of Google’s Android operating system is called Funtouch OS. The latest is version 9.2 but there is a possibility the operating system may get a new name, albeit one that is familiar.

Today, the project manager for Funtouch OS shared a logo design image for what is called Jovi OS and a caption that translates to “Thank you for having us, we will definitely explore forward!”.

Jovi OS

Jovi is the name of Vivo‘s smart assistant that ships with its phones. It offers features such as an image recognizer and a smart scene mode that automatically sends news or notification based on the selected scene/mode.

There are no details about Jovi OS but we believe more details will surface soon. We also presume it may be unveiled in December alongside the Vivo X30 phone and may even debut on the new phone. Hopefully, it brings Android 10 too and not just a name change.
