Redmi 9A, the cheapest smartphone from Redmi for this year has gone official in China. It is the second phone in the Redmi 9 series after the Redmi 9 to go official in the country. The Redmi 9 is priced at 799 Yuan (~$114) whereas the Redmi 9A entry-level phone has arrived with a pricing of 599 Yuan ($85).

Priced at 599 Yuan, the Redmi 9A for China carries 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of built-in storage. The handset comes in three colors such as Clear Sky Blue, Sand Black, and Lake Green.

The Redmi 9A is a Helio G25 powered entry-level smartphone. It houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. The handset is preloaded with MIUI 12 based Android 10 OS.
The Redmi 9A is equipped with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with waterdrop notch. It supports 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has a front camera of 5-megapixel that supports features like front HDR, gesture photo, and face recognition. The backside of the Redmi 9A has a 13-megapixel snapper. It offers users with features like HDR, portrait mode, AI scene recognition, time-lapse photography, and 30fps 1080p video shooting.
The Redmi 9A is a dual-SIM phone that comes with a dedicated slot for microSD card. It comes with other features 1217 speaker, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, microUSB, and 3.5mm audio jack. It lacks a fingerprint reader.
