Xiaomi has been rumored to be working on a new tablet for a while now. This is the Mi Pad 5, which was expected to also be announced during its online conferences earlier this week, but that was not the case.
Since the device was not revealed, finer details regarding its specifications and features are still unknown. But, a recent online post from known Weibo tipster, a Chinese microblogging website), @数码闲聊站 has leaked some of its supposed features. As per the social media post, the new tablet will feature display functions that are similar to the folding screen that is found in the Mi Mix Fold. In other words, we can expect support for handheld PC mode, parallel windows, dual screen drag and drop and more.
The Weibo blogger also added that the PPI of the display would not be very high, which will also support high refresh rate. Under the hood, the Mi Pad 5 will feature Snapdragon 800 series processor as well. Unfortunately, it is unknown which processor the device would ship with, but it could be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.
Although, going by previous reports, the tablet will feature an 11 inch display, with 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate and up to 480Hz touch sampling rate on the LCD display. Keep in mind, this is still an unconfirmed report so take it with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding the device.
