Two impressive ‘Made in India’ smartwatches have been launched by audio and smartwatch manufacturer, PLAY. They are the PLAYFIT SLIM and PLAYFIT STRENGTH and both feature a 1.28-inch, 240×240 pixels IPS LCD screen and other impressive features such as IP67-rated water, and dust protection, heart-rate monitor, fitness tracker, as well as blood oxygen monitoring (SpO2).PLAYFIT SLIM

The two Indian-focused smartwatches also have multiple sports modes, sleep monitoring functionality, Bluetooth notification, and between 5 and 15 days battery life. The PLAYFIT SLIM is priced at Rs. 3,999 (~$54), while the PLAYFIT STRENGTH costs Rs. 4,999 (~$67) and will be available for purchase in the subcontinent from November 30.

The PLAYFIT SLIM comes in a circular design with an aluminum watch dial. It is slim and has a fashionable strap in two color variants – black and blue colors. The PLAYFIT SLIM boasts up to 15 hours of battery life with its 180mAh battery.

On the other hand, the PLAYFIT STRENGTH has a composite body made of durable materials. The much larger 400mAh battery of the STRENGHT offers up to 5 days of battery life. It comes in two color variants – galaxy black and military green.

In a statement coinciding with the unveiling of the two products, PLAY (through its Chief Product Officer, Hamish Patel) stated that the two products were wholly Indian-made. The products underline the company’s commitment to innovation and deployment of futuristic technologies and affordable pricing. The company hopes to strengthen its hold on the budding e-wearable Indian market and would continue to develop cutting-edge and affordable products for its customers.
