After going through all the regulatory paces in China, the BMW i3 Sedan eDrive35L electric vehicle has been launched. The new sedan is the all-electric version of the BMW 3 series and it packs some impressive features. The BMW i3 sedan eDrive35L comes with some impressive features and it was first spotted in a December 2023 filing with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The all-electric sedan has size specifications similar to its combustion version although it is slightly taller. The rear-wheel drive of the eDrive35L is powered by a 210kW electric motor. It can go from 0 to 100km/h within 6 seconds. While the 70.3kWh battery offers a range of 526km. The specified performance metrics for the i3 sedan edrive35L are based on a China light-duty vehicle test cycle measurement.
Dual charging (AC or DC) options are available for the BMW i3 with the AC port located at the front of the vehicle. The AC/DC port is at the rear of the EV. DC fast charging (95kW) can deliver super-fast charging times for the model. You can charge from 0 to 80% within 35 minutes, although that may be unique to China.
The BMW i3 sedan eDrive35L comes with an array of cutting-edge features including the Gen5 eDrive powertrain, a solid suspension system, and the BMW OS8 operating system. There are no indications yet on the global availability and pricing for the BMW i3 sedan eDrive35L.
