On Aug. 18, Lenovo unveiled the Lenovo Legion Y70 smartphone in China. While it features the latest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, it does not sport a gaming-focused design like the Lenovo Legion Y90, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Today, the Legion Y70 has gone on sale for the first time in the home market.
Lenovo Legion Y70 price, variants
The Legion Y70 is available in China three variants: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. These models are priced at 2,970 Yuan (~$435), 3,370 Yuan (~$494), and 4,270 Yuan (~$625).
The Y70 is the world’s most affordable phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. It has arrived in colors like Ice White, Titanium Grey, and Flame Red. At present, there is no word on the global launch of the device
Lenovo Legion Y70 specifications
The Legion Y70 has a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 1,500Hz touch sampling rate. The device comes preinstalled with Android 12 OS with ZUI 14 skin on top.
The device has a 16-megapixel camera on the front. Its back panel has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens.
The SD8+G1 phone features LPPDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 5,100mAh battery that carries support for 68W fast charging. For heat dissipation, the device has a vapor chamber liquid cooling unit with several graphite sheets occupying 5,047 sq. mm area inside the device.
