Honor X9a is set to launch in Malaysia soon. Recently, the brand dropped a teaser on its Twitter handle revealing the phone’s design from the front and back. The upcoming offering is expected to be a rebranded version of the Honor X40 that debuted in China in September. Now, the Honor X9a has surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking platform with model number RMO-NX1. The listing reveals the smartphone’s key specifications.

The Honor X9a is listed with CPU part number SM6375 which corresponds to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 processor. It comprises six cores ticking at 1.80GHz and two cores clocked at 2.20GHz. The listing reveals 8GB RAM onboard and Android 12 OS. The smartphone scores 669 and 1,930 points in single-core and multi-core tests respectively. The specifications of the upcoming offering on Geekbench database are also similar to the Honor X40.

The teaser video shared by Honor Malaysia reveals that the X9a will feature an ultra-tough OLED curved display. There is a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout and a circular camera ring on the back panel. If the smartphone is indeed the rebadged X40, we can expect it to come with a 6.67-inch FHD+ screen with an integrated fingerprint scanner and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will feature a 50MP + 2MP rear camera and an 8MP front snapper. The Honor X9a will be backed by a 5,100mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging.

We will learn more details about the Honor X9a in the coming days.
