In April, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 alongside the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone in China. The wearable arrives with a new design with support for numerous strap options. Furthermore, the eighth-gen fitness tracker from the brand can be even worn as a pendant.
Almost a month later, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 in light gold color option is now available for purchase in China. This edition of the fitness tracker is designed for women and it comes with the official hollow bracelet and NFC as default. It is available for purchase at CNY 299 (~$43) from Mi.com China.
Regarding the hardware specifications, the wearable boasts a 1.6-inch pill-shaped AMOLED display that supports up to a 60Hz refresh rate, 600 nits peak brightness, AOD mode, and multiple watch faces. The device is water-resistant up to 50 meters.
In terms of health features, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 offers heart-rate monitoring, blood oxygen level monitoring, sleep tracking, and menstrual cycle tracking. It can also measure stress levels and VO2 Max. Additionally, the fitness tracker includes an Interactive Boxing Mode, which allows users to track data related to somatic senses or somatosensory systems while engaged in boxing activities.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 includes built-in games like Sudoku and 2048. It also provides convenient features such as notifications, weather updates, and more. The fitness tracker is powered by a 190mAh battery unit that can last up to 16 days on a single charge. The standard NFC version of the watch is priced at CNY 279 (~$40) in China.
