Xiaomi Redmi A4 has been officially announced on Oct. 16, 2024.
This smartphone features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, offering a pixel density of 393 ppi. The screen provides a decent visual experience with a 90Hz refresh rate, though the resolution is on the lower side, making it more suited for everyday tasks rather than high-end media consumption. The device runs on Android 14 with HyperOS, providing a modern software experience.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset (4 nm), the phone features an octa-core CPU with 2×2.2 GHz Cortex-A78 and 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores for efficient multitasking. It comes with 128GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM, with support for expandable storage via a microSDXC card.
The 50 MP wide main camera with an f/1.8 aperture delivers decent photos, with features like HDR and LED flash, capable of 1080p video recording at 30fps. The 8 MP front camera also supports 1080p video recording for selfies. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC (region-dependent), and GPS.
Xiaomi Redmi A4 features a 5000 mAh battery with 18W wired charging, ensuring extended usage throughout the day. The phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port.
