Huawei announced the Mate XT model last year but it wasn’t like any other foldable phone that we’ve soon far. It pushed the boundaries with its unique tri-folding design. The Mate XT was limited to the Chinese market on launch, but we finally have a global launch date for the top-end Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design.
Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design Global Launch Date
Earlier today (5th February 2025), the Chinese tech giant announced that the Mate XT Ultimate Design will make its global debut in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 18th February 2025. The launch event will kick off at 2:30 PM Malaysia Time. However, the pricing and availability details are still at large.
After being first introduced in the Chinese market, there was no word regarding its overseas release. But recently, the base Mate XT model was spotted on the TDRA certification in UAE, which hinted at its imminent release. So we can expect this model to also be unveiled soon.
To recall, the Mate XT Ultimate Design features a unique display design with its basic panel being a 6.4-inch screen when folded. Unfolding it once, the screen real estate gets bumped to 7.9 inches. This panel hits 10.2 inches when it is completely unfurled, bringing a tablet sized experience that can also fit in your pockets.
The upcoming tri-folding packs XMAGE image system that features a 50MP main, 12MP ultra wide, and 12MP telephoto shooter with a 5.5x optical zoom. A large 5,600mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging support.
