Oppo has officially launched the A3i Plus in China, a new addition to its A-series lineup. However, the device appears to be a rebranded version of the Oppo A3.
Despite the name change, the smartphone retains the same specifications, including a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 695 processor, and a focus on durability. The Oppo A3i Plus is now available for pre-order, with sales set to begin on February 17.
Oppo A3i Plus Specifications
The Oppo A3i Plus features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 2412×1080 resolution, a 93.7% screen-to-body ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. It offers a peak brightness of 1200 nits under sunlight and maintains touch responsiveness even with wet or oily hands.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset. It includes 12GB of RAM, expandable virtually by another 12GB, and offers storage options of 256GB and 512GB with Oppo’s lossless compression technology for efficient management.
The smartphone runs on ColorOS 14, Oppo’s custom Android-based operating system. It introduces several software enhancements, including real-time voice enhancement for calls, AI-powered image extraction, and an improved cloud-based UI for a more fluid user experience. The software also incorporates advanced power management features to extend battery life and optimize performance.
On the back, the Oppo A3i Plus sports a dual-camera setup, led by a 50MP primary sensor paired with a 2MP portrait lens. The camera system supports AI-enhanced portrait mode, night photography, and fast-capture technology for high-quality images in various lighting conditions. On the front, an 8MP selfie camera ensures clear and detailed self-portraits. The device also includes Oppo’s AI-based software optimizations to enhance image clarity and detail.
The A3i Plus houses a 5,000mAh battery, offering all-day usage on a single charge. It supports 45W Super Flash Charging, which can charge the device up to 50% in just 30 minutes. Oppo claims the battery is designed to retain its efficiency for over four years of use. Additionally, the phone is engineered to function optimally in extreme temperatures, with real-time temperature control during charging.
The Oppo A3i Plus features a reinforced design with shock-absorbing corners, Crystal Shield Glass for enhanced durability, and SGS Gold Five-Star drop resistance certification.
Pricing and Availability
The Oppo A3i Plus is available in three colors: Pine Green, Crystal Purple, and Ink Black. The device comes in two storage variants: the 12GB+256GB model is priced at 1,299 yuan ($179), while the 12GB+512GB version costs 1,499 yuan ($206). Pre-orders are currently open on JD.com and Oppo’s official store, with the official sale starting on February 17 at 10:00 AM.
