Oppo has announced its latest artificial intelligence (AI) strategy at the Oppo AI Tech Summit during MWC 2025. The company aims to redefine AI experiences by integrating advanced AI solutions into its smartphones, focusing on innovation, security, and system-wide AI enhancements. The announcement highlights Oppo’s commitment to pushing AI boundaries through partnerships with industry leaders.
Advancing AI with system-wide integration
As AI applications continue to evolve, Oppo is transitioning from functional AI to a more deeply embedded system-level AI experience. The company is collaborating with Google to integrate Gemini AI across Oppo apps, such as Notes, Calendar, and Clock, while also working towards bringing Gemini 2.0 to its devices soon.
To ensure security, Oppo is leveraging Google Cloud’s Confidential Computing to protect user data through its Private Computing Cloud. Features like AI Recording Summary, AI Search, AI Studio, and AI Call Summary will be integrated with this security framework throughout the year.
Oppo is also enhancing AI-driven productivity, creativity, and imaging capabilities. The company is optimizing AI performance with MediaTek’s latest chips to deliver real-time processing without compromising energy efficiency. New AI-powered functionalities like AI Call Translator and AI VoiceScribe, which offer real-time call translation and voice summarization, will be rolled out in future updates.
Expanding AI reach and future innovations
Oppo is committed to accelerating AI adoption, aiming to double its AI user base to nearly 100 million by the end of 2025. To achieve this, the company plans to release an average of one AI update per month. Upcoming innovations, including AI Search and deeper Google Gemini integration, will debut on the Oppo Find N5.
At MWC 2025, Oppo’s latest AI-powered smartphones, such as the Find N5, Reno13 series, and Find X8 series, are showcased alongside AI-driven advancements, reinforcing the company’s dedication to shaping the future of mobile AI.
