Several reports have claimed that Huawei is working on the Pura 80 series of flagship phones for the Chinese market. Recently, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared details of an engineering prototype, which is believed to be the Huawei Pura 80 Pro. The leak reveals that it will feature a flat display and an advanced camera system.
Huawei Pura 80 Pro specifications (rumored)

As per the leak, the Huawei Pura 80 Pro is being tested with a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display, featuring a 2.5D flat design and ultra-thin bezels. This marks a shift from curved screens in the previous generation. The device is expected to ship with HarmonyOS Next.
The leaker further states that the Pura 80 Pro will feature a 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony IMX989 main sensor with a variable aperture. If true, this would make the Pura 80 Pro one of the few Pro-tier devices to retain a 1-inch sensor, as most brands reserve such features for Ultra models.
The main snapper will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto macro camera. All three sensors will reportedly use a custom RYYB color filter, which enhances low-light performance by increasing light intake by up to 40 percent.
DCS revealed that the Huawei Pura 80 series could launch in the second quarter of this year. While he mentioned the specs of the Pura 80 Pro’s engineering prototype, he also stated that they have not been finalized.
In related news, Huawei will hold a launch event today (March 20) to unveil a new foldable phone with an unconventional screen aspect ratio of 16:10. While the device’s name is under wraps, it is expected to be the first device to come preloaded with the HarmonyOS Next.
