Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 series just got the stable One UI 7.0 update, based on Android 15. Rolling out now in South Korea, this update brings a sleek design overhaul, smarter Galaxy AI features, and a hefty 5GB package packed with the April 2025 security patch. Expect it to hit other regions soon, so Tab S9 owners, get ready for a new experience!

The Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, and S9 Ultra are rocking One UI 7.0 in South Korea, with firmware versions X710XXU5CYD9, X810XXU5CYD9, and X910XXU5CYD9, respectively. If you are in Korea, head to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to experience it. The update is also out for the Galaxy S23, S24 FE, and Tab S10 series. Unfortunately, mid-range users are still waiting to experience the improvements — even 2024’s Galaxy A55 only received its second beta update around a week ago.
What’s new for the Galaxy Tab S9 series in One UI 7?
One UI 7.0 is a visual treat, with revamped app icons, a split Quick Panel and notifications page, and “buttery-smooth” animations. You’ll notice a new battery icon, fancier charging visuals, and customizable widgets for both home and lock screens. The Settings app now supports natural language search, and the Camera app’s controls are handily placed at the bottom in portrait mode. Gemini takes over as the default voice assistant, activated by a long press of the power button.
Galaxy AI gets a boost too, with features like enhanced label options for icons and widgets, deeper lock screen clock customization, and smarter Modes and Routines. You can even auto-hide the taskbar for a cleaner look. Global rollout should start soon, so keep checking for updates. This update makes the Tab S9 feel brand new!
