The Motorola Moto G96 was officially announced on July 9, 2025.
This smartphone features a sleek, lightweight design at 161.9 × 73.3 × 7.9 mm and 178 g. It comes with a Gorilla Glass 5 front, eco-leather (silicone polymer) back, and plastic frame. The device is IP68-certified for dust and water resistance (submersible up to 1.5 m for 30 minutes).
Motorola Moto G96 sports a 6.67″ P-OLED display with 1B colors, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 1600 nits. The resolution is 1080 × 2400 (~395 ppi), offering an immersive ~90.5% screen-to-body ratio. Powered by the 4 nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, the device includes an octa-core CPU (4×2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4×1.95 GHz Cortex-A55) and Adreno 710 GPU. It runs Android 15 with 1 promised major upgrade.
Internal storage options are 128GB or 256GB (both with 8GB RAM), using UFS 2.2. The dual rear camera setup includes a 50 MP wide lens with OIS and an 8 MP ultrawide lens with autofocus. It records up to 4K@30fps video. The 32 MP selfie camera also supports 4K recording with HDR and gyro-EIS.
Audio features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res (24-bit/192 kHz) support. It has USB-C 2.0 (OTG), Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS/QZSS, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. Battery: 5500 mAh with 30W wired charging.
