Back in June 2024, Oppo unveiled the Reno 11A smartphone in Japan. Today, it took the covers off the Reno 14 5G in Japan, and at the same time, it also unveiled the more affordable Reno 13A. Continue reading ahead to know everything about the new Reno A offering.
Oppo Reno 13A specifications and features
The Oppo Reno 13A features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1200 nits, and is protected by AGC Dragontrail STAR2 glass. It has an in-screen fingerprint scanner for security. The front camera houses a 32-megapixel sensor, and the rear camera setup comprises a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 112° field of view, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone supports virtual RAM expansion up to 16GB and up to 1TB of external storage via microSD. It houses a 5,800mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging.
Running on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, the Reno 13A comes with other features like dual SIM + eSIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB-C, and dual speakers. The phone is rated IP68/69 for dust and water resistance and measures 7.8mm in thickness and weighs 192 grams. To sum up, this phone is a rebranded version of the Reno 13F, which has been available in other markets since Janauary this year.
Oppo Reno 13A pricing and availability
Priced at 48,000 Yen (~$330), the Oppo Reno 13A is now available for pre-orders in Japan and will go on sale on June 26. It will be available in three colours: Charcoal Gray, Ice Blue, and Luminous Navy. The SIM-free model will go on sale via mass retailers, e-commerce sites, UQ Mobile, Rakuten Mobile, Y! Mobile, and various MVNO providers.
